Investment and the Process
Investment
All deposits are non-refundable, however a waitlist deposit can be transferred to another litter within 1 year of being placed. The $500 deposit goes towards the total cost of the puppy.
The purchase price for a puppy when joining a waitlist is a total of $2700 plus 7% sales tax. The deposit goes towards this total amount. When joining a waitlist, the deposit secures the family/individuals pick spot. Puppy picks happen at 6 weeks of age after temperament testing has been completed.
If a puppy or litter has already been born, the cost is $3000 plus 7% sales tax. The deposit goes towards this total amount. Specific puppies can be chosen after 6 weeks, and can go home at 8 weeks. There is a 1 week grace period for puppy go home day, and after that, the investment cost will increase due to puppy vaccines, training, food cost, etc.
The Process
My goal for every family or individual who chooses me as their breeder is to give you the knowledge and guidance you need to make the best decision for your lifestyle and to feel confident and excited about that decision. I’m always happy to share what I’ve learned through years of raising puppies, including coat types, temperaments, parent pairings, puppy development, training, and what you can realistically expect as your puppy grows.
Choosing your puppy should be an exciting and enjoyable experience, never an overwhelming one. I want to help you find a puppy whose temperament, energy level, and individual traits are a good fit for your family, not simply help you choose based on color or appearance.
Ultimately, my goal goes far beyond the day you bring your puppy home. I want both you and your puppy to be set up for success, with a strong foundation for a happy, fulfilling lifetime together. And when questions come up along the way, I want you to know i’m always in your corner.
1) Review Litters
Our current and upcoming litters will be listed under the “All Things Puppy” tab. Each litter graphic will include the timeline we expect the litter to arrive/go home, and also coat types and colors the parents can produce together. You may also find it helpful to review our puppy contract before proceeding to make sure it doesn’t bring up additional questions.
2) Submit an Application
Our puppy application is linked here and is also linked on each litter page. It’s not a short and sweet application, but that’s because we use this to get to know you. To gather information on your expectations, and see if we are a good fit to work together. Once complete, i’ll reach out to schedule a phone call to talk more. We’ll go over any and all questions you have so you can make a confident decision. Please make sure everyone in your home is comfortable with the investment and idea of bringing a puppy home prior to filling out our application.
3) Submit Deposit and Sign Agreement
Once you’re ready to move forward with securing your pick spot on a waitlist, you’ll submit a $500 deposit and sign a non-refundable waitlist deposit agreement. The $500 deposit goes towards the total price of the puppy and is not refundable, but is transferrable to another litter 1 year from date deposit is placed. Deposits can be placed by Venmo, Paypal, Zelle, Cash or Check.
4) Join a Waitlist
Now that you’ve joined a waitlist, we wait:) It can be hard to wait, but it’s so worth it! We are working with mother nature on timing, which sometimes requires patience. We try our hardest with accuracy for delivery and go-home time frames, but and can vary a month or 2. As soon as a mom comes in heat, is bred, confirmed pregnant by ultrasound, we communicate those milestones with the families on their waitlists. Once confirmed pregnant, we’ll send out information via email for joining the band app for all litter communication.
5) Puppy Pick Day
Puppy pick day typically happens around 6 weeks old. We do this after temperament testing has been completed and puppy’s first vet visit has happened. Temperament testing results will be summarized and shared with waitlist families so they can make the most informed decision. Puppy picks are not in person as most families are not local to us. We schedule back to back Google Meets calls in order of deposit received. Each family will have 30 minutes to talk through their options before moving on to the next family. If there are no suitable options for the family, they may choose to move their deposit to another litter.
6) Puppy Go Home Day
Puppies go home at 8 weeks of age! Prior to go home day, you'll receive our Puppy Go-Home Manual to help set you and your puppy up for success. You also get lifetime breeder support from your new breeder bestie. No matter the question, advice, etc., I am here for you! Our goal is for puppies to be successful with their new families.
